Italian High Renaissance Painter, ca.1430-1516 Giovanni Bellini (c. 1430 ?C 1516) was an Italian Renaissance painter, probably the best known of the Bellini family of Venetian painters. His father was Jacopo Bellini, his brother was Gentile Bellini, and his brother-in-law was Andrea Mantegna. He is considered to have revolutionized Venetian painting, moving it towards a more sensuous and colouristic style. Through the use of clear, slow-drying oil paints, Giovanni created deep, rich tints and detailed shadings. Kazimierz Wojniakowski
(1771-1812) was a Polish painter. Wojniakowski was a pupil of Marcello Bacciarelli. His work as a portraitist was influenced by that of the Polish painter Jezef Grassi, as in Wojniakowski's 1796 Portrait of Izabela Czartoryska, nee Fleming. Other note-worthy portraits by Wojniakowski include his portrait of Tadeusz Kościuszko. Wojniakowski also produced religious works and scenes of contemporary historic events (e.g., The Constitution of May 3, 1791, 1806). Notable as well are Wojniakowski's drawings from journeys, e.g. in Lublin Province.

During the early 1860s Goodwin studied with Arthur Hughes and Ford Madox Brown, who predicted that his pupil would become 'one of the greatest landscape painters of the age'.
